Ministry of Mines Backs Green India with ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0’ Drive

As part of the nationwide ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0’ campaign, the Ministry of Mines organized a plantation drive at Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, aligning with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of fostering environmental consciousness through personal and emotional connection.

The initiative was spearheaded by V. L. Kantha Rao, Secretary, Ministry of Mines, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from ministry officials and staff.

Now in its second phase, the campaign encourages citizens across the country to plant a tree in the name of their mother, symbolizing both familial love and commitment to Mother Earth.

Addressing participants, mphasized the crucial role of individual action in environmental sustainability. He urged people to embrace tree planting as a meaningful tribute to their mothers and a vital step towards a greener future.

The Ministry reiterated its continued support for national environmental initiatives, reaffirming its dedication to building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable India through proactive and inclusive efforts.
