MLAs Suresh Kumar and Captain Ranjit Singh strongly rejected the accusations made by former Sujanpur MLA Rajender Rana during a press conference in Solan on Friday. They termed all claims as completely baseless, misleading, and aimed at gaining cheap publicity, emphasizing that the opposition is diverting attention from real public issues.

The MLAs also dismissed assertions regarding the Chief Minister’s Delhi visit, calling them fabricated. They clarified that all official engagements of the CM follow pre-decided schedules, and spreading false claims about a 24-hour itinerary is purely sensational.

Regarding state advisors, they called opposition remarks “highly objectionable.” They stated that only a limited number of advisors have been appointed, costing less than 1% of the total budget, while contributing meaningfully to policy formulation and implementation across sectors.

Addressing entry tax allegations, the MLAs said that incorrect figures were being circulated. They highlighted that changes in tax structures aim to boost state revenue and accelerate development. Over recent years, state revenue has increased, enabling investments in roads, healthcare, and education.

On land near Hamirpur Medical College, they clarified that all transactions were legally compliant and accused the opposition of spreading politically motivated misinformation. Similarly, they refuted claims of salary cuts and an economic emergency, stating that employee benefits and allowances are being disbursed systematically.

Concerning the state’s financial condition, the MLAs acknowledged the debt exceeding ₹1 lakh crore but noted that much of it was inherited from previous governments. They highlighted ongoing measures to enhance revenue, reduce unnecessary expenditure, and ensure transparent payments to contractors, with thousands of crores of liabilities already cleared.

Finally, they emphasized that budget announcements are accurate, with substantial allocations for infrastructure, healthcare, and education already benefiting the public. The MLAs reiterated that opposition claims are attempts to mislead the people, while the Congress government remains committed to development, transparency, and public welfare, with ongoing projects expected to yield long-term benefits.
