CM Sukhu has instructed officials to complete all formalities on priority for the proposed Him-Chandigarh City project, located in the Baddi region near Chandigarh. Conceptualized as a modern and sustainable urban hub, the city will feature state-of-the-art infrastructure, high-grade civic amenities, and seamless road networks to drive regional economic growth and boost state revenues.
A key highlight of the urban plan is a 9-kilometer riverfront development along the Sarsa River, designed to offer expansive green spaces and recreational zones for future residents. CM Sukhu emphasized that the government plans to begin ground implementation soon, focusing on balanced planning to create a clean, highly accessible township.
