To maintain a peaceful and disturbance-free environment during the NEET (UG) 2026 examination scheduled for May 3, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Sadar), Dr. Rajdeep Singh, has imposed restrictions under Section 163 of the BNSS in Bilaspur city.
As per the order, all forms of public gatherings including rallies, processions, cultural or political events, sloganeering, and strikes will remain strictly prohibited in and around the designated examination centres—PM Shri Government Children Senior Secondary School, Government Girls Senior Secondary School, and PM Shri Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kothipura. The restrictions will be in effect from 10 am to 6 pm on the day of the examination.
The order also bans the use of loudspeakers in the vicinity of exam centres during the specified period. In addition, construction activities and the erection or dismantling of tents and stages have been prohibited to ensure a distraction-free environment for candidates.
Furthermore, carrying of weapons such as sticks, firearms, swords, ammunition, or any other potentially harmful objects has been completely restricted around the examination venues.
The administration has stated that these measures have been taken to ensure the fair, smooth, and uninterrupted conduct of the examination.
