NIC Himachal Promotes Safe Internet Practices

To mark Safer Internet Day, the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Himachal Pradesh organized an awareness session at the Himachal Pradesh Secretariat, promoting safe and responsible use of the internet under the theme “Smart-tech, safe-choices: Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI.” The session emphasized the importance of adopting safe, ethical, and informed digital practices.

Over 100 officers and officials from various branches of the State Secretariat participated in the workshop. Key topics included cyber hygiene, safe browsing, protection of personal and official data, and awareness of common cyber threats, with a focus on responsible digital practices in government functioning.

All NIC district centres and offices also conducted similar sessions to spread awareness of safe internet practices at the grassroots level.
