Shimla is facing severe water crisis as there has been no rain in the past few days. Accordimg to an offical notification, it has been reported by the metrological Department that Shimla Town has experienced lowest rain fall in this summer season which was not faced for the last many years and thus aroused draught like situation and scarcity of water in the water sources catering water demand of Shimla Town. It has also been warned that still it will take few days to reach monsoon in the state.
Keeping in view on going draught like situation and scarcity of water in the water supply sources, henceforth all type of construction activities with cement/concrete i/c curing etc. is banned till 30.06.2024, stated the official order from the Commissioner office, Municipal Corporation, Shimla.
