Order US 34 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005

Whereas the Chief Seeretary-cum-Chairman, State Executive Committee, Himachal Pradesh. has after considering the present status of COVID-19 patients, daily  mortality. positivity rate and the overall circumstances, issued directions vide order No. Rev (DMC) (C) 20-2/2022-COVID-19-IV dated 15-02-2022 in the state till further orders.  Whereas, after taking into consideration the current status of COVID-19, I am  satisfied that number of COVID-19 patients, daily mortality and positivity rate is declining and the situation is inmproving in the district.  And therefore, 1, Shivam Pratap Singh, IAS, Chairman, District Disaster  Management Authority-cum-District Magistrate, Shimla exercising the powers conferred in me under Section 34 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, do hereby order and direct that:- 

1. All Educational Institutions are allowed to function as per their normal  schedule w.e.f. 17-02-2022 with adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols.

2. Cinema Halls/ Multiplex, Stadiums and Swimming Pools are allowed to  function with strict adherence to COVID-19 safety Protocols. 

3. There shall be no exemptions for the persons with disability and pregnant women employees. They shall attend their offices in regular manner.  Distno Magrstrate ShipaBa pistnct SHIMLA

4. There shall be no restrictions on religious langars subject to strict adherence to the COVID-19 appropriate behaviour and safety protocols.

5. All social/ religious/ cultural/ political and other congregations including marriages are permitted upto 50% of the capacity in indoor built up/ covered agistr areas as well as in open spaces/ outdoor areas.

There shall be strict observance of COVID-19 appropriate behaviour and safety protocols during these congregations/ gatherings. The compliance of this order shall be ensured by the Shimla and all Superintendent of Police, the Sub-Divisional Magistrates in Shimla district.  Violation of this order shall attract  Management Act, provisions of Section 51 to 60 of Disaster 2005 and Section 188 of IPC. The violators shall be prosecuted accordingly. This order will come into effect immediately unless otherwise specified above  and shall remain in force till further orders.
