Public Works Department (PWD) Secretary Dr. Abhishek Jain on Thursday stated that the department has initiated several measures to enhance guest experiences and streamline payment processes at HPPWD rest houses and circuit houses, ensuring top-quality facilities for guests during their stay in the state.
He has directed the officials of the department ensure rent receipts to the guests staying in the rest house and circuit houses of the department. Starting from 1st July, 2024, this initiative aims to ensure proper collection and management of revenue from rent payments. Additionally, these receipts can be used by guests for reimbursement purposes.
In line with the department’s commitment to adopting digital platforms, Dr. Jain stated that the department was also encouraging cashless payment facilities in the State. This move towards cashless transactions is part of a broader effort to modernize the department’s operations and ensure a seamless experience for all guests, said the Secretary.
