A spokesperson of the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs said today that due to a technical issue in Aadhaar authentication services, Aadhaar-based ration distribution through ePoS machines has been temporarily disrupted.
He informed that the matter has been taken up with the concerned authorities and efforts are underway to restore the Aadhaar authentication services at the earliest. In the meantime, to avoid inconvenience to beneficiaries, the department has activated the QR Code-based distribution facility available in ePoS machines as an interim arrangement.
The spokesperson added that all eligible beneficiaries have been advised to continue collecting their entitled food grains from their respective Fair Price Shops as usual.
