The first anniversary of the installation of the divine idol of Lord Shri Ram was celebrated with spiritual fervor at Raj Bhavan on Saturday. Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Lady Governor Janaki Shukla performed a special Pooja and offered prayers for the prosperity, happiness, and well-being of all citizens of Himachal Pradesh.
The idol was originally installed at Raj Bhavan on 5th July 2024, symbolizing the embodiment of truth, righteousness, humility, and compassion—the core values of Maryada Purushottam Ram.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Shukla emphasized that the idol is a daily reminder of Lord Ram’s ideals. “Our resolve is to spread the vision of Lord Rama, which sees all with ‘sam drishti’ (equal regard), and to contribute to the realization of Ram Rajya in the country,” he said. He further highlighted that Lord Ram’s governance model—rooted in justice, empathy, and selfless service—remains a timeless guide for leadership and public service.
Secretary to the Governor C.P. Verma and other Raj Bhavan staff members were also present on the occasion.
