Registration Opens for Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme

An official spokesman told here today that the registration for Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme (PMSS) has been opened for filling of online application by applicant for Academic Year 2022-23 from 20 July, 2022 till 31 October 2022 on www.scholarships.gov.in. The scheme provides total 500 scholarships (250 girls and 250 boys) to the Wards of states/UTs Police personnel of various States/Union Territories who were martyred during terror/naxal attacks. He also informed that the last date for second level verification by the States/UTs Police NOdal Officer has been fixed upto 30th November 2022.

He said that the scheme provides a quantum of financial assistance of Rs. 36,000 for each girl and Rs. 30,000 for each boy for pursuing first professional/technical course in the field of Engineering, Medical, Dental, Veterinary, BBA, BCA, B. Pharma, B.Sc. (Nursing/ Agriculture), MBA/ MCA etc. from recognized Government Regulatory Bodies in India (Not through distance learning).
