A Cabinet Sub-Committee meeting was held today to review the progress of the proposed Him Chandigarh City development at Baddi, chaired by Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi. Housing and Town & Country Planning Minister Rajesh Dharmani was also present.

Deputy Commissioner Manmohan Sharma provided a detailed presentation on the project, briefing the committee on land availability and related revenue records. All relevant land records were submitted to the Revenue Minister. It was informed that HIMUDA will soon conduct a drone survey to digitally map the land parcels for precise planning.

The committee was told that 3,428 bighas of land have already been allotted for housing purposes, while an additional 5,000–6,000 bighas from the common pool have also been identified for development.

Further, HIMUDA and the Revenue Department, in coordination with the concerned tehsildars, will undertake land consolidation. The process is expected to be completed within a month, resulting in a single consolidated land parcel for the Him Chandigarh City project.
