Students of the Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun, visited the 133 Infantry Battalion (TA) Eco Task Force during their educational tour of Himachal Pradesh, where they gained firsthand exposure to the unit’s environmental conservation efforts.

During the visit, the cadets were briefed on large-scale afforestation drives and various environmental awareness programmes being carried out by the Eco Task Force across the state. They also toured sapling nurseries maintained by the unit and viewed a detailed presentation highlighting ongoing ecological initiatives.

As part of the engagement, students and faculty members participated in a plantation drive, planting saplings in the unit premises. The activity marked a symbolic gesture towards environmental protection and sustainability.

The interaction offered the young cadets a deeper understanding of the role played by the Eco Task Force in preserving natural resources and contributing to nation-building through ecological restoration efforts.
