Rising Stars of Portmore School

portmore3Hard work, persistence and in-born talent is the key to success coupled with the efforts of the school management and staff. Principal Nisha Bhaluni lauded the efforts of the students and wished them future success as well. During morning assembly she awarded a trophy to Megha, 3rd prize winner for the Spot Painting Competition held by the State Museum, on the occasion  of International Museum Day. Mokshika too received a participation certificate.

portmore1In a Hindi Declamation Contest on Earth Day, held at Lalpani School, Bus Stand, Poonam Thakur of +2 Medical won the 1st Prize. Speaking on the topic Green City, Poonam’s words touched all as she spoke on the topic. She said, “Suno suno main sunnane aayi hu ek kahani, waise kahne ko to main kahti rehti hu par aaj kuch alag kahne aayi hu, kyuki kisi paudhe ko sceenhchna na vayrath hai, dheera ko swarg bannana, yahi mere shabdo ka arth hai”. She was accompanied with her Hindi teacher Dr Rakha Chauhan. Diksha Thakur was the second participant but due to paucity of time she was unable to read out her speech.

portmore2Principal Bhaluni said, that we try to encourage our students to participate in such event on a regular basis as this helps in their confidence building. The teachers and all the support staff as well ensures that we are able to guide the students in the right manner so that they may excel in life.
