Rotary Club Shimla Hill Queens successfully organized a Free Eye Check-up and Spectacle Distribution Camp on September 24, 2025, at the Community Center in Shoghi, under the broader District Project Vision Plus. This initiative, in collaboration with Rotary District 3011 and part of Rotary District 3080’s community service programs, served a wide range of beneficiaries, including school children, industrial workers, and local villagers.
The camp, which attracted over 250 attendees, was made possible by the generous support of GM Industries. A dedicated team of eye specialists and volunteers conducted thorough eye exams and distributed free spectacles to those in need. In total, more than 175 people received spectacles, while 75 individuals were given essential medicines.
In her address, President Puja Goyal emphasized the importance of good vision for overall health, education, and productivity. She reiterated the club’s commitment to making a positive impact on community health and well-being.
Special thanks were extended to Dynamic DG Rtn Ravi Prakash for his support in facilitating the project, and to Project Chairman Rtn Sanjeev Sethi and Rtn Akshay Sethi for their efforts in ensuring the camp’s smooth execution.
This event highlights Rotary’s dedication to improving healthcare access and contributing to the well-being of underserved communities. The successful camp is a testament to the club’s ongoing mission of fostering brighter futures through service.
