Rs. 5.50 Crore Donated To Aapda Rahat Kosh-2023 For Flood Victims

Cheques amounting to around Rs. 5.50 crore were presented to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu towards Aapda Rahat Kosh-2023 as financial assistance to the flood victims here today. Management of AD Hydro Power Limited and Malana Power project donated rupees five crore towards the Kosh.

Apart from this, Vishwa Jagriti Mission, HP has contributed an amount of Rs.10 lakh, Vice Chancellor Shoolini University, Prof. P.K. Khosla Rs. 11 lakh, Revenue officers association donated rupees five lakh, Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad donated Rs. 2,10,959, Purshottam Dass resident of Galore of Nadaun assembly constituency of Hamirpur district Rs. 2.11 lakh, delegation from Nadaun assembly constituency led by P.C. Verma donated Rs. 1.51 lakh, Gian Chand resident of Nadaun Rs. 2 lakh, delegation of Jama Masjid Muslim Committee contributed Rs. 1.15 lakh.

Principal St. Bedes College Shimla Molly Abraham donated rupees one lakh and Mandi Suket Truck Operators Association has also contributed rupees one lakh towards the Kosh. Besides this, donations from other organizations and individuals were also received today. Expressing his gratitude the Chief Minister thanked them for the noble gesture to extend helping hand during the time of crisis for the people who suffered heavy losses in the recent floods and torrential rains.
