
Dr. Manmohan Singh Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration (HIPA) has undertaken a 3 Part Colloquium series in which the Participants will engage in collaborative discussions to explore innovative solutions that can propel the state towards achieving its long-term goals, balancing sustainable development and economic growth. This was stated by an official spokesperson of HIPA.
Part I started with an online engagement with stakeholders by way of online questionnaire wherein inputs have sought from experts in seven different fields for identifying the priorities ahead.
He said that in Part-II of this series as many as 167 experts from the seven identified fields viz: Political, Administrative, Industries (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary), Social, Environment, Legal and Knowledge sectors will take place.
Based on the inputs of online questionnaire, a physical three day brainstorming exercise ‘SAMRIDH Himachal 2045’ will conducted at HIPA from 22nd to 24th March 2025 involving all representatives of the seven categories with a series of extensive discussions on identified sectors to followed by Part III.
He said that the Government and citizen engagement would considered to form modalities for conducting Part III of the Colloquium and to release the Draft 20 year Vision Document for economic Self Reliance of Himachal Pradesh.
The significant event will include participation by the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Ministers, Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) across party lines, and political advisors, who will collaborate with intellectuals and experts from diverse backgrounds.
He said that the those who have confirmed their participation include Salman Khurshid, Sameer Sisodia (CEO Rain matter Foundation), Rajni Bakshi (Author), Rajiv Banduni (Founder Open AI), Padamshri Nek Ram Sharma, P.D. Rai (Ex. Member of Parliament), Smt. Asha Swaroop (Former Chief Secretary H.P), Deepak Sanan (IAS retd), Rajeev Malhotra (IES retd). A special online session with Mr Sam Pitroda is also plan.
