A hybrid training programme on the State Disaster Mitigation Fund (SDMF) Portal developed by the Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (HPSDMA) in collaboration with NIC-HP was conducted here today under the chairmanship of Additional Secretary Education and Project Director SDMF Nishant Thakur.

The training aimed to familiarize stakeholders with the  features of the portal designed to enhance transparency and streamline disaster mitigation efforts. All Project Proposal Reports (PPRs) and Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) must now be submitted exclusively through the portal, which would eliminate the need for hard copies.

The portal enables instant access to hazard-specific reports and real-time tracking of proposals. Stakeholders were reminded to resubmit previously approved project proposals on the portal by 30th December, 2024, stated Thakur.

Experts from NIC-HP provided insights and addressed queries during the session which marked a key step towards a more efficient and transparent disaster management process in the state. Officials and officers from various department participated in the tanning programme.
