Tiny tots of Shemrock Buttercups got all sporty as they celebrated their annual day at the Gaiety Theater, Shimla. The school is known to have a theme-based celebration every year and hence this time they came up with an amazing presentation based on the importance of sports.
During the occasion Kusum Sadret, Municipal Corporation Mayor was present as the Chief Guest who appreciated the little ones. She narrated a story from Mahatma Gandhi’s life where he came across a couple who was fed up with their child eating too much of sweets. They wanted Bapu to council the child but Bapu refused to meet them for a month or so. Later when he spoke to the child, he was a transformed being. When parents asked Bapu the secret he said he himself has a sweet tooth and hence all the while he himself was trying to give up on it before asking the child to do so. So in a similar way we need to give up on mobiles, TVs, Tabs and computers before asking our child to do the same.
Children presented various dances on songs to show various games like hockey, athletics, skipping and hula-hoop. Old students of the school too presented an amazing dance as a tribute to the school for making them as capable individuals.
The most loved feature of show was a fashion show by little ones that spoke volumes about their self confidence. Little ones were awarded for their outstanding performances during the year.
The day ended on a happy note with cuteness and warm hearts of parents and grandparents. (CLICK TO SEE AL VIDEOS)
