Shimla Nursing College Hosts Heartfelt Farewell

Shimla Nursing College proudly hosted a memorable farewell function to bid adieu to the graduating students of the Bachelor of Science (BSc Nursing) and General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) programs. The event, themed “A Sweet Ending to a New Beginning,” was held in the college’s multipurpose hall, marking a significant milestone in the students’ academic journey.

The function was graced by the presence of esteemed management and trust members, including Mr. Mohit Sood, Managing Director of Shimla Nursing College, Dr. Kimi Sood, Secretary of the College, and Dr. Krishna Chauhan, Principal. They inspired the students with words of wisdom as they embark on their professional careers in healthcare. The atmosphere was filled with both nostalgia and excitement as students reflected on their experiences at the college.

A key highlight of the event was the awarding ceremony, where top-performing students from both the BSc Nursing and GNM programs were recognized for their academic excellence. The top three students from each program received awards from the management:

Top Three Students – BSc Nursing:

  1. Ms. Shaina Sama – Topper for the last three years
  2. Ms. Sheetal – 2nd Topper
  3. Ms. Priyanka – 3rd Topper

Top Three Students – GNM Program:

  1. Ms. Madhu Bala – Topper for the last two years
  2. Ms. Shivani – 2nd Topper
  3. Ms. Akanksha – 3rd Topper

As the graduates prepare to enter the healthcare workforce, the management emphasized the importance of compassion, professionalism, and lifelong learning in their nursing careers. Mr. Mohit Sood, Managing Director of Shimla Nursing College, reiterated the college’s commitment to nurturing excellence and integrity in healthcare education.

All graduating students of both BSc Nursing and GNM programs have already secured placements through the campus placement drive, with many joining Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon. Additionally, Shimla Nursing College has facilitated guaranteed job placements at renowned hospitals, including Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi, BL Kapoor, Delhi, Columbia Asia, Delhi, Narayana Hospital, Jaipur & Katra, Jaypee Hospitals, Delhi & Palampur, Apollo Hospital, Delhi, and Max, Fortis – Chandigarh & Dehradun.

The event concluded with emotional goodbyes, as students and faculty shared heartfelt memories and expressed gratitude for the invaluable experiences gained at Shimla Nursing College.
