The Inter-House Athletic Meet at St. Edward’s School commenced today, marking the beginning of a thrilling three-day sports extravaganza. With enthusiastic participation from all students, the event is set to showcase their athletic expertise with impeccable finesse.

The event started with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, Col Akshay Dogra of the Garhwal Rifles. Col Dogra, a National Defense Academy graduate, has excelled in training and leadership roles, including training the Indian Army Ski team. An adventurer and scholar, he has represented India at the UN and commanded in counter-insurgency areas.

Following the flag hoisting, the School Anthem was sung, and an oath-taking ceremony was led by the Sports Captain, who pledged to uphold the spirit of true sportsmanship. Reverend Father Anil Sequeira, the Principal and a constant source of inspiration, motivated the children with his words. The Chief Guest then declared the Athletic Meet open.

The three-day event promises to be a display of extraordinary talent, dedication, and sportsmanship as students compete in various athletic events.
