Shiv Pratap Shukla attended the concluding cultural evening of the International Shivratri Mahotsav as the chief guest. Lady Governor Janaki Shukla also graced the occasion.
The final evening, dedicated to Devadidev Mahadev, unfolded in a spiritually uplifting atmosphere filled with devotion and enthusiasm. The highlight of the programme was a captivating performance by renowned singer Hansraj Raghuwanshi, who mesmerised the audience with soulful bhajans and devotional songs in praise of Lord Shiva. His performance drew thunderous applause from the large gathering present at the venue.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor said that the International Shivratri Mahotsav is not merely a festival but a vibrant celebration of Himachal Pradesh’s rich cultural heritage and deep-rooted spiritual traditions. He added that such events strengthen cultural identity and promote unity, devotion and social harmony.
Earlier, the Governor and the Lady Governor were felicitated by the district administration as a mark of respect and gratitude for their presence.
