In a remarkable feat, SJVN Limited has reported its highest-ever revenue of Rs. 3299 Crores for the fiscal year 2022-23, reflecting an impressive growth rate of 25.62% compared to the previous fiscal year 2021-22 when it recorded Rs. 2626 Crores in revenue.

Profit After Tax (PAT) Surges by 39.48%

The company also achieved significant growth in its Profit After Tax (PAT), reaching Rs. 1363.45 Crores in FY 2022-23, compared to Rs. 977.52 Crores in the previous year, marking a substantial increase of 39.48%.

Profit Before Tax (PBT) Grows by 28.93%

SJVN reported a substantial increase in its Profit Before Tax (PBT), reaching Rs. 1732.13 Crores in FY 2022-23, compared to Rs. 1343.44 Crores in FY 2021-22, marking an impressive growth rate of 28.93%.

Earnings Per Share (EPS) Shows Significant Improvement

The company’s Earnings Per Share (EPS) also exhibited noteworthy growth, with an increase from Rs. 2.49 per share in 2021-22 to Rs. 3.47 per share in 2022-23.

Dividend Declaration

SJVN has declared a dividend of Rs. 1.77 per share for the fiscal year 2022-23.

Achievements in Power Generation

  • The Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station achieved a peak performance factor (PAF) of 106.653%.
  • Charanka Solar Power Station achieved the highest annual generation of 8.75 MU in FY 2022-23.
  • SJVN generated a total of 9335 Million Units of energy in FY 2022-23, surpassing the total design energy of 8705 Million Units.

Environmental Ratings

The corporate headquarters of SJVN, “Shakti Sadan,” received a prestigious Four-Star rating from the Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) Council on June 24, 2022, highlighting the company’s commitment to sustainable practices.

Deviation Settlement Mechanism and Trade Receivables

  • SJVN recorded the second-highest total earning of Rs. 43.63 Crores from the Deviation Settlement Mechanism during 2022-23.
  • Trade Receivables in FY 2022-23 were at 35 days, exceeding the MOU target of 45 days, indicating SJVN’s best-ever performance to date.

Power Generation Records

SJVN’s flagship Hydro Power Stations in Himachal Pradesh achieved an all-time high record of 50.534 MU in single-day power generation on July 18, 2023.

Power Purchase Agreements

  • SJVN signed Power Purchase Agreements for a 200 MW Solar Power Project with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited.
  • A Power Usage Agreement for the supply of 500 MW Solar power from the ongoing 1000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project was signed with Punjab State Power Corporation Limited.
  • Additionally, SJVN signed agreements for 100 MW Wind Power Capacity with Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

SJVN demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by spending Rs. 59.84 Crores on CSR activities in FY 2022-23, exceeding the statutory obligation of Rs. 36.46 Crores.

Installed Capacity and ISO Certification

The current installed capacity of SJVN is 2091.50 MW, including Hydro, Wind, and Solar power. In November 2022, SJVN achieved ISO 31000:2018 certification for its Risk Management System, becoming the first CPSE to implement this standard.

Recent Milestones

  • SJVN became the fourth Renewable Energy Implementing Agency (REIA) in India on April 6, 2023.
  • The company received the Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) Certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on September 13, 2023, making it the first PSU in the power sector to achieve this certification.

Key MOUs

SJVN signed several significant Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) for renewable energy projects, including projects in Nepal, Rajasthan, Assam, Goa, Maharashtra, and Sikkim, in FY 2022-23 and Q1 & Q2 of FY 2023-24.
