SJVN Collaborates with MSME and NSIC to Support Vendor Growth

SJVN’s 412 MW Rampur HPS successfully organized the 22nd Edition of Vendor Development Meet for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) today. Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel) SJVN was the Chief Guest of the occasion. The program commenced with lighting of the lamp by Chief Guest Ajay Kumar Sharma and his wife Shelly Sharma, Head of Project, Rampur HPS Vikas Marwah and other senior dignitaries from Corporate Headquarters and various projects.

Ajay Kumar Sharma in his inaugural address said that SJVN has always been committed to promote MSMEs. Such Vendor Development Meets are an important step towards promoting an inclusive ecosystem where the MSME’s can prosper and thrive. Our aim is to open new avenues for MSMEs and pave the way for sustainable development in collaboration with various institutions such as MSME, NSIC and National SC/ST Hub. He laid emphasis on connecting SC/ST and women owned MSMEs to the mainstream. He further stated that the local vendors will immensely benefit from such programs. 

Earlier in his welcome address, Head of Project of Rampur HPS Vikas Marwah welcomed the Chief Guest and participating vendors, officials from MSME, NSIC, National SC/ST Hub and media representatives. He said that MSMEs have played pivotal role in development of the nation’s growing economy. SJVN organises Vendor Development Meets from time to time to facilitate the vendors for providing products and services as per the requirements of the company.

During the Vendor Development Meet, detailed presentations about various platforms like MSME, NSIC, GeM were made for the participating vendors. The vendors also shared their experiences about successful association with the company. This development meet has helped in increasing awareness regarding SJVN’s e-procurement process and has strengthened partnerships with vendors, partners and stakeholders who have played a vital role in the success and growth of the company.

The Vendor Development Meet was attended by Ashutosh Bahuguna, Chief General Manager (Electrical Contracts) from Corporate Headquarters, Sunil Chaudhary, Head of Project of LHEP-1, Rajeev Kumar, Head of Project of SDHEP and other senior officials from SJVN.
