SJVN has commenced Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 across all its Projects and Units, from 27th October to 2nd November, following directives from the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) under the guidance of CMD Bhupender Gupta.
The event at SJVN’s Corporate Headquarters in Shimla was inaugurated by Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), who administered the Integrity Pledge to employees. Sharma highlighted the significance of the observance in creating awareness among staff and the public, promoting ethical conduct, and reinforcing transparency and integrity in both personal and professional spheres. He urged active participation in vigilance initiatives and collective efforts to combat corruption.
The program was also attended by Manmeet Gupta, Deputy CVO, along with other senior officials. Employees across all SJVN Projects and Units also took the Integrity Pledge.
As part of its broader commitment, SJVN is running a three-month Vigilance Awareness Campaign from 18th August to 17th November 2025, focusing on preventive vigilance measures. Activities during the week include capacity-building sessions, quizzes, painting and rangoli competitions, walkathons, and declamation contests for employees, students, and local communities.
These initiatives aim to foster a corruption-free India and promote national development through collective responsibility. Vigilance Awareness Week coincides with the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, celebrating his legacy of integrity and nation-building. The theme for 2025 is “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”
