SJVN Limited has been awarded the Second Prize in the Swachhta Pakhwada Awards 2025 by the Ministry of Power, Government of India, in recognition of its exemplary contribution to cleanliness and sustainability initiatives.
The award was presented by Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Power, to Bhupender Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of SJVN, at a felicitation ceremony held in New Delhi.
On the occasion, Shri Bhupender Gupta expressed pride in the organization’s achievement, stating that the award reflects SJVN’s structured approach and impactful execution of Swachhta-related activities during the nationwide Swachhta Pakhwada 2025 campaign. “Our initiatives have not only improved cleanliness but also created lasting awareness and behavioral change in communities,” he added.
The Swachhta Pakhwada Awards are presented annually to recognize the outstanding efforts of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) under the Ministry of Power. Participating organizations are evaluated based on criteria such as public engagement, sustainable practices, and awareness initiatives conducted during the observance period from May 16 to 31.
This year, PGCIL, SJVN, and NHPC secured the First, Second, and Third positions respectively, following a rigorous evaluation by the Ministry.
SJVN has demonstrated a strong track record in these awards, having received four First Prizes (including three consecutively) and two Second Prizes, showcasing its long-standing commitment to the Swachh Bharat Mission.
