Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited Foundation (SJVN) handed over the keys of a well-equipped patient transport ambulance to the Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar who is the President of the State Red Cross Society at Raj Bhawan on Tuesday. Angha Arlekar, Lady Governor and Dr. Sadhna Thakur, Chairperson, State Red Cross Hospital Welfare Section was also present on the occasion. The ambulance will be used for the convenience of the patients of Kaza in Lahaul & Spiti through the Red Cross.
On the occasion, the Governor asked to explore the possibilities of starting a de-addiction center in Shimla through the Red Cross.Dr. Sadhna Thakur apprised that the first-aid training programs would be increased through Red Cross, for which more areas would be identified. Priyatu Mandal, Secretary to Governor was also present on the occasion.
