In a remarkable achievement, SJVN (Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited) has reported an all-time high monthly energy generation of 1590 million units from all its power stations in August 2023. This achievement marks a significant 9% increase in energy generation compared to the previous year.

Nand Lal Sharma, the Chairman & Managing Director of SJVN, proudly announced this milestone and shared further noteworthy accomplishments. The 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station achieved a new record by generating an all-time high monthly output of 337.165 million units since its commissioning.

Additionally, SJVN’s 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station and 50 MW Sadla Wind Power Station registered their highest energy generation for the month of August during the current fiscal year, producing 1215.326 million units and 15.938 million units, respectively.

Notably, SJVN has demonstrated significant growth in the first quarter of the current financial year, with total generation from solar and wind power stations surpassing the corresponding period of the previous fiscal by a substantial 73.04%.

Nand Lal Sharma extended his congratulations to all SJVN employees and expressed gratitude for the unwavering support received from the Union Power Minister, Ministry of Power, and the respective state governments where SJVN’s power stations are located. He emphasized that SJVN has consistently maintained an upward growth trajectory while ensuring uninterrupted energy supply to meet the increasing power demands of the nation.

SJVN has set ambitious targets for the future, aiming to achieve ‘Mission 12000 MW by 2026’ and ‘Shared Vision of 50000 MW by 2040.’ Currently, the company’s project portfolio stands at an impressive 55904 MW, underscoring its commitment to sustainable growth and energy excellence.
