The annual function of Doon Valley Kids Planet — Sparkels — concluded with great-fervour and enthusiasm at the Doon Valley Public School, Nalagarh. It was inaugurated by Lalit Jain, S.D.M. Nalagarh, who lit the lamp, accompanied by the Chairman Rajiv Sharma and Principal Namita Lal, thus setting the event in action.
The function began with a devotional song by the Kindergarten children, invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. Then followed a variety of fun-filled dances by the tiny tots which left the parents mesmerized. The thundering applause by the audience after every performance spoke volumes of its success. A garland of cultural beads like the Arabian dance, butterfly dance, Bhangra, umbrella dance, Sufi dance, Ramayana took the audience by storm.
The chief guest, Lalit Jain, was greatly overwhelmed by the wonderful performance of the toddlers and going down the memory lane, he recollected the days of his childhood when he himself participated in school related activities. Appreciating the efforts of the management, Principal and teachers, he felt assured and contented at the quality of education that the school was providing to the children.
The function concluded with a vote of thanks by the Principal who extended a word of thanks to all those teachers whose month-long preparations bore fruit and won the appreciation from one and all. In the end, the Chairman felicitated the chief guest with a memento.
