Principal and students of St Edwards School saluted the spirit of workmanship on the eve of Labor Day as a colourful programmed was presented to mark the day. Principal Father Bosco especially invited the support staff on the stage and all were formally welcomed by the school caption Aditya Sood. Father Bosco said, “As individuals we should respect all and not differentiate on the basis of their caste or economic status”. He presented gifts to all the members of the support staff which included five female members as well. Vice Principal, Father Naveen as well as father Francis Xavier were also present along with the teachers.

Enlightening  all present on the occasion, Abhimanyu Kaithla spoke about the Labor Day and its importance in today’s world. Nearly 60 students from Class II up to X presented colourful song and dance numbers. A modern Kathak style dance was performed by the students of class 10 in which Anirudh, Sahil Kanwar, Avneel, Sarvesh, Harshil among other students participated. A group song was sung by students titled “Sadi ki Phalsa”, while students from classes two to ninth namely, Rudransh, Rushil, Shaurya, Pranjal, Himanshu, Dharmesh, Avran, Nishtan, Ashish, Priyanshu, Anmol, Mukul and other gave thrilling performances.

Students of class nine presented a very beautiful and theme based play, giving an example of an ant. How hard working ants are regularly killed but those who hardly work get all the credit. They also cited the example of Taj Mahal, how Shahjahan received all the accolades for it construction and the workers who actually built it were penalized as their hands were cut off. No one understood their value and were never remembered for their craftsmanship, a play which was stunningly presented by Sarthak Sood, Surya Negi, Aryan Khimta, Saurabh, Prateek, Anand Kuthiala and Pranav Rana.
