A state level certification committee has been constituted by the state election department to deal with applications from political parties and organizations for certification of advertisements on television channels, cable networks, radio, video and social media websites during the by-elections from Mandi parliamentary constituency and Fatehpur, Arki and Jubbal-Kotkhai Assembly constituencies. The committee would be headed by the Additional Chief Electoral Officer-cum-Joint Secretary (Elections) while District Election Officer (DC) Shimla, Station Director, All India Radio, Shimla, Station Director, Doordarshan Kendra, Shimla, Joint Director, Information and Public Relations Department, Assistant Director (News)
All India Radio, Shimla and social media expert from the office of Directorate of Information and Public Relations would be members of this committee. The committee will deal applications for certification of advertisements on television channels, cable networks, radio, video, social media websites by the all registered political parties having their headquarters in Himachal Pradesh and all organizations or group of persons or associations having their registered offices in the State.
