State Level Quiz Competition of Red Ribbon Clubs was organized by HP State AIDS Control Society, Shimla on 3rd December 2022 in Shimla. 10 District level quiz winner teams from Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kangra, Kinnaur, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmour, Solan and Una participated in this competition. Sakshi Aggarwal and Prince Kumar of Red Ribbon Club Himachal Institute of Dental Sciences, Paonta Sahib team from District Sirmaur got the first, Vaishali and Vaishnavi of Red Ribbon Club Swami Vivekanand Govt. Degree College Ghumarwin team from District Bilaspur was in 2nd position and Simran Minhas and Ruchi of Red Ribbon Club Govt. Degree College, Kotla Behar team from District Kangra got 3rd position in the competition.
Dr. Gopal Beri, Director Health Services HP-cum-Project Director HPSACS was the Chief Guest of this event. He honoured the winners and appealed all the participants to make aware all students of their respective colleges and institutes on HIV and AIDS and be the impactful partner for ending AIDS by 2030. The winners of State level Competition will participate in Regional Level Quiz Competition of Red Ribbon Clubs which is also being organized in Shimla on 5th December 2022 in which teams from 9 states will participate.
