CM Sukhu has made history by becoming the first Chief Minister in India to address the prestigious House of Lords in London. He delivered a keynote address at the Indo-European Business Forum summit, where he invited global investors to explore opportunities in Himachal Pradesh’s thriving sectors, including clean energy, responsible tourism, horticulture, IT, and wellness.

In his speech, CM Sukhu highlighted Himachal Pradesh’s 100% literacy rate, its trust-driven governance, and resilience as key factors that make the state an attractive destination for international investment. He emphasized that Himachal Pradesh is not just a popular tourist spot but also a growing hub for business and innovation.

The Chief Minister underscored the state government’s commitment to achieving self-reliance through systemic reforms, with a vision of “Vyavastha Parivartan se Aatmanirbhar Himachal” (Self-Reliant through Systemic Reforms). He detailed forward-thinking policies aimed at clean and green energy, horticulture, data storage, food processing, and IT, with particular focus on leveraging European expertise to enhance hydropower and renewable energy initiatives.

Sukhu also spoke about the global recognition of Himachal’s apples and the state’s entry into organic farming, floriculture, and high-value crops poised for international markets. His government’s focus on natural farming and dairy-based initiatives has further paved the way for innovation and collaboration, especially in the wellness and organic products sectors.

During the summit, CM Sukhu was conferred with the Leadership and Governance Award for his visionary leadership and transformative governance in Himachal Pradesh. He extended an open invitation to European investors to visit Himachal Pradesh, emphasizing that they would not only find business opportunities but also build partnerships based on trust and shared values.

The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including IEBF Founder Vijay Goel, Lord David Evans, Minister Kanishka Narayan, Minister Seema Malhotra, and several international figures.
