Sukhu Reviews Development Projects in Kangra District

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today conducted a detailed review of the progress on ongoing and proposed development projects in Dharamshala and other subdivisions of Kangra district.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister received updates on the construction of Ekta Mall (PM Unity Mall) in Dharamshala. He highlighted the significance of the ‘One District-One Product’ initiative, describing it as an ambitious scheme designed to promote a unique product from each district. This initiative aims to boost regional development, generate employment opportunities, and elevate local products to national and international markets.

He emphasized the need to expedite land transfers and secure forest-related approvals to ensure timely completion of all projects in Kangra.

Chief Minister Sukhu also pointed out the vast investment potential in the state’s hospitality sector, which could drive economic growth and provide employment and self-employment opportunities for locals.

The review encompassed various ongoing and proposed projects across Kangra’s subdivisions, with senior officials from Public Works, Industries, and other departments present. Deputy Commissioner Kangra Hemraj Bairwa participated virtually.
