Teachers’ Day: CM Felicitates Educators

On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, CM Sukhu extended warm greetings to all teachers across Himachal Pradesh and expressed deep appreciation for their invaluable contribution to the field of education. He also congratulated the teachers who received National and State Awards for their exceptional dedication and service.

The Chief Minister especially praised Shashi Paul, a JBT teacher from Solan district, who was honoured with the prestigious National Award for Teachers 2024 in New Delhi. He also lauded the 19 teachers who were presented with State Awards during the Teachers’ Day function held at Peterhoff, Shimla.

In his message, CM Sukhu reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to strengthening the education sector, stating that education remains one of the top priorities of the government. He highlighted several ambitious initiatives aimed at providing quality education close to students’ homes and improving learning outcomes.

He further noted that the consistent efforts of teachers have played a key role in Himachal Pradesh achieving a remarkable 5th position in the National Achievement Survey (PARAKH 2025), a significant leap from its 21st rank in 2021. He credited this progress to the unwavering commitment of the teaching community.
