St Thomas Sr Sec School, Girdharipura, Jaipur celebrated Teacher’s Day on September 5 to commemorate the birthday of Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan and to honour the staff at school for their invaluable contribution to the field of education. Teachers were felicitated on this auspicious day. Rev Father Biju Daniel presided over the function. Honourable Trustee, J Verghese, Secretary Shaji Thomas and other distinguished members of the Managing Committee, Principal Sonal Sharma, Vice Principal P Mathai, Headmistress Nivedita Doegar were present during the programme.
The gathering was welcomed by the Head Girl Yashasvi. The programme started with a prayer and lighting of the lamp. Students showcased their talents by performing Thiruvathira, a famous traditional dance of Kerela which is done during the Onam festival. Other performances included Break Dance, Group Song and Musical Skit.
Rev Father Biju Daniel blessed everyone in an inspiring speech. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks which was proposed by the Head Boy, Tarun Sharma.
