Project Director, HP AIDS Control Society Rajiv Kumar while presiding over a training programme organized by the Society said that the primary aim of this session was to prepare people living with HIV to become trainers and empower them to act as positive speakers in various HIV awareness initiatives across Himachal Pradesh.

The Himachal Pradesh AIDS Control Committee has successfully trained 140 individuals living with HIV as master trainers. He said that the objective of preparing these HIV positive speakers was to motivate people living with the syndrome into the mainstream. He said that by becoming master trainers, these individuals can share their experiences and knowledge, thereby fostering greater understanding and reducing stigma associated with HIV among the public.

He said that this initiative underscores the commitment of the Himachal Pradesh AIDS Control Society to support and uplift people living with HIV, ensuring they have the tools and platform to advocate for themselves and others in their communities.
