Transforming Arki: CM Rolls Out ₹68.42 Crore Infrastructure Plan

CM Sukhu today inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for a series of development projects worth ₹68.42 crore in the Arki Assembly Constituency, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to regional growth and infrastructure development.

Among the inaugurated projects were key educational and administrative facilities. These include the examination hall at Government Senior Secondary School, Manjyat, constructed at a cost of ₹23.01 lakh; the second phase of the GSSS building at Bathalang (₹3.72 crore); and the residential building for the Agriculture Extension Office in Arki, built at a cost of ₹45.90 lakh. The Chief Minister also inaugurated the Sub-Treasury building at Darlaghat (₹2.23 crore) and the newly constructed Police Station at Darlaghat, which was completed at a cost of ₹4.89 crore.

In addition to these, several key infrastructure projects were inaugurated, including the Manjyat–Patti Devra–Paplou road built under the NABARD scheme at a cost of ₹7.78 crore. Improvements and reorganization of various water supply schemes under the Jal Shakti Sub-Division, Arki, were also launched, amounting to ₹1.35 crore. Notably, the Lift Water Supply Scheme from Gamber Khad, aimed at covering partially served habitations in the Arki area, was also inaugurated, with a significant outlay of ₹24.48 crore.

Further strengthening the infrastructure pipeline, CM Sukhu also laid foundation stones for new upcoming projects. These include a Veterinary Hospital building at Dumehar (₹58.95 lakh), improvement works for the water supply scheme in Arki town (₹18.50 crore), strengthening of the water distribution system for Gram Panchayats Sarayanj and Materni (₹2.32 crore), and the office-cum-residence for the Sub-Divisional Police Officer at Darlaghat, to be built at a cost of ₹1.88 crore.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister congratulated the people of Arki and emphasized that these projects would play a vital role in the holistic development of the constituency. He reiterated that the state government is working towards balanced, inclusive, and sustainable growth across all regions of Himachal Pradesh.

MLA Sanjay Awasthi, representing the Arki constituency, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister for his continued support and for addressing the key developmental needs of the region.
