A golden day engraved in the history of the world, 15th August is a glorious day which finally happened after a hard and long battle fought by our freedom fighters. People from all walks of life, i.e., from small streets to slums to some of the great personalities such as Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose equally participated in this battle of freedom.
To honour the sacrifices made by our leaders we celebrated the Independence Day at our School on Thursday morning. The beauty of the tricolour and the air of patriotism spilled everywhere. With the marching ceremony and the National Anthem during the Assembly the function was inaugurated by the Principal Ritu Pal with a warm welcome speech. She highlighted the importance of the day and added that we should, “Respect freedom of the nation, because this freedom cost millions of valuable lives”.
In follow through various students gave heart winning speeches on the significance of this day. Little kiddies too played their part and dance groups undoubtedly performed a beautiful dancing tribute to the nation. There were some dramatic acts as well as patriotic songs sung by the students, which successfully marked the conclusion of the function.
