Unlocking Opportunities For News Channels And Websites In Himachal

A spokesperson of the state government informed here today that the department of Information and Public Relations has invited applications for empanelment of News web Channels, News websites/Portals and Social Media handlers.

He said that to improve the outreach of welfare schemes and initiatives of the state government, the Himachal Pradesh Digital Media Policy-2024 has been notified recently and the Information and Public Relations department is the nodal agency.

The policy aims to optimally utilize the News web Channels, News websites/Portals, Social Media handlers to publicize and promote the policies, programmes and development initiatives of the state government. These channels and portals shall have to fulfill the general and technical qualification to be eligible for empanelment with the department.

The copy of the policy is available on the website http://www.himachalpr.gov.in and all concerned can go through the provisions of the policy and can apply for empanelment.

He said that duly filled application in prescribed format annexed with the policy along with all required documents for empanelment could be submitted to the Director, Information and Public Relations at Shimla-02.
