Veerta Sthal ‘Thematic Park’ dedicated to people

Army Training Command dedicated the ‘Veerta Sthal’ on 14 June 2024 to the general public. General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Army Training Command (ARTRAC), Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, Ati Vishist Seva Medal, Yudh Seva Medal, Vishist Seva Medal, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Army Training Command dedicated the ARTRAC Thematic Park ‘Veerta Sthal’ in Shimla as a recognition of the soldier’s contribution, as also highlight the onerous responsibility that ARTRAC fulfils in training our soldiers.

Indian Army is the Nation’s first line of defence. To keep the Nation’s borders guarded at all times, there is invariably a mandated requirement to train the soldier in current and developing scenarios. Headquarters Army Training Command based in Shimla is entrusted with this important aspect from the time a soldier joins the Army. 

Himachal Pradesh, being a major contributor for the Indian Army, it was felt most appropriate to develop a Theme Park in Shimla as a recognition of the soldier’s contribution. It is aimed at being a source of motivation for the youth and youngsters, both locals and tourists.

With this as the aim, this Park has been conceptualized and being dedicated to the local populace of Himachal Pradesh in general and Shimla in particular.
