SJVN marked the 11th International Day of Yoga with great enthusiasm at its Corporate Headquarters in Shimla, as well as across all its offices and project locations. Embracing this year’s global theme, ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’, the event highlighted yoga’s role in promoting personal well-being and sustainable living.
The event at the headquarters was inaugurated by Ajay Kumar Sharma, Director (Personnel), who also led the yoga session as the Chief Guest. He was joined by Chandra Shekhar Yadav, Executive Director (HR), department heads, senior officials, and employees, all of whom participated actively in the session.
A special yoga workshop was organized in collaboration with the Isha Foundation, where expert instructors guided participants through a series of yogic postures (asanas) and breathing techniques (pranayama), aimed at achieving physical vitality, mental clarity, and inner peace.
Addressing the gathering, Ajay Kumar Sharma emphasized, “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition and it is a path to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world, and nature.”
SJVN reaffirmed its commitment to employee well-being and environmental consciousness through such initiatives, promoting holistic health and balanced lifestyles within and beyond the organization.
