Marching Cup won by Durrant House, while Soshimla of Form V awarded the trophy for Best Athlete !!!
Yet another day of amazing display of physical strength was exhibited by the Girls of Auckland House School during the Senior Section Sports Day held here today as Zahur H. Zaidi, Inspector General Police, Himachal Pradesh, graced the occasion as the chief guest. The programme began with the March Past wherein the four Houses of the School namely Durrant, French, Lefroy and Matthew marched in order of their last year’s performance. The March past was followed by a P.T. Display with dumb bells, Yoga and Aerobics.
Thereafter the students participated in Gymnastics and Karate respectively. The programme continued with the children participating in challenging yet exciting races which brought smiles to the faces of the proud parents sitting in the audience.
Last but not the least was the Tug of War wherein Lefroy and Durrant House vied for the 3rd and 4th positions while French and Matthew House competed for the 1st and 2nd position respectively.
The Sports Shield and Proficiency Cup were bagged by Matthew House while the Marching Cup was won by Durrant House. Soshimla of Form V was awarded the trophy for the Best Athlete.

High Jump Group A – Kritika Kumari, Himanshi Sharma, Shruti Sayal; Group B – Mattanaporn R, Heena Thakur, Ibadhat Bramta, Gurdeep Kaur.
Shot Put Group A – Arzo Shyam, Baldina John, Hemanshi Sharma; Group B – Oshin Cheema, Ibadhat Bramta, Tenzin Youdon.
Discuss Throw Group A – Avleen Mander, Arzoo Shyam, Baldina John; Group B – Oshin Cheema, Vidhi Tanta, Kannattee P.
100 Meters Group A – Arzoo Shyam, Hemanshi Sharma, Kritika Kumari; Group B – Shephali Sood, Veronica Chauhan, Swastika Chauhan.
Obstacle Race Group A – Hemanshi Sharma, Shivani Thakur, Oshima Mogta; Group B – Puneet Dhindsa, Napatsorn N. Achal.
Baton Relay Group A – Matthew House first, Durrant House second and French House third; Group B – Lefroy House, Matthew House and Durrant House.
Skipping Relay Group A – Durrant House, Matthew House, Lefroy House; Group B – Lefroy House, Durrant House, French House.
Ball Relay Group A – Lefroy and Matthew House First, French House Third; Group B – French House, Lefroy House, Durrant House.
Karate – Prerna Negi, Parusha Pal, Shivani Chauhan.
Overall Positions – Matthew House first, Lefroy House second, Durrant House third and French House fourth.
While speaking on the occasion, the chief guest lauded the efforts of students and teachers (see video).
A vote of thanks was proposed by Director Principal Sunita John who appreciated the collective efforts of students, teachers and parents. She was pleased to see the hard work put in by the students and their sportsman spirit was at its best (see video).
