Jan Manch was organized in various assembly constituencies of all 12 districts of the State today. During Jan Manch, about 919 grievances and demands were received most of which were disposed off on the spot.
District Hamirpur
Speaker HP Vidhan Sabha Vipin Singh Parmar presided over the Jan Manch organized in the Gram Panchayat Dadla of Sujanpur Assembly constituency of Hamirpur district. Former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal was also present on this occasion. About 50 complaints were heard from six gram panchayats of the area and most were resolved on the spot. On this occasion, Vipin Singh Parmar said that the State Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has ensured accountability and transparency through Jan Manch.
He said that Himachal is progressing continuously under the able leadership of Jai Ram Thakur. New schemes and programs were being run for the welfare of the people and every section of the society was being benefited. Along with redressal of public problems, departmental exhibitions are also organized in Jan Manch for the promotion of various welfare schemes and direct benefits of these schemes are passed on to the common people. Additional Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Sanjata detailed the complaints received during Jan Manch. 4 girl beneficiaries were given FD under Beti Hai Anmol Yojna, 44 women were given tool kits of bamboo art by Himachal Pradesh State Handicrafts and Handloom Development Corporation and 32 women were given free gas connections under Mukhyamantri Grihini Suvidha Yojna on the occassion. More than 248 people were examined and distributed medicines during a health check-up camp organized by Departments of Health and Ayurveda.
District Bilaspur
Jan Manch was organised at Government High School Ladda in Sadar assembly constituency of district Bilaspur. It was presided over by Jal Shakti, Horticulture, Revenue and Sainik welfare Minister Mahender Singh Thakur. Total 102 grievances were received and most of them were disposed off on the spot. He said that Jan Manch has proved a boon for redressal of grievances. He further added that the state government is ensuring that people get the benefits of various welfare schemes at their doorstep.
District Shimla
Urban Development and Co-operation Minister Suresh Bhardwaj presided over the 25th Jan Manch at Historical Ridge in Shimla Urban assembly constituency of Shimla district. Total 33 grievances were received and most of them were resolved on the spot. 5 complaints and 16 demands were received on the spot. Apart from this, 23 demands received have been sent to the concerned departments for redressal within ten days. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the problems of the poor were being resolved through Jan Manch for the last 4 years and were being personally monitored by the Chief Minister. During the Jan Manch, a health check-up of 350 people was done by the Health Department and 150 people by the AYUSH Department. In addition to this, 13 HIMCARE cards, 3 Bonafide Himachali certificates were issued and a blood donation camp was also organized on the occasion.
District Una
Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Sarveen Chaudhary presided over the Jan Manch organized at Chandrlok Colony in Una Assembly Constituency of district Una. Chairman 6th HP State Finance Commission Satpal Singh Satti was also present on the occasion. Total 35 complaints were received and most of them were resolved on the spot. 20 complaints were received during pre-Jan Manch activities which included 7 complaints and 13 demands. 15 complaints were received during Jan Manch which included 9 complaints and 6 demands. Also, the Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment provided financial assistance of Rs. 21 thousand each to two families adopting daughters and two families who took loan for their daughter’s higher education under Garima Yojna, an initiative of District Administration. Six girls were awarded for their achievements under the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign.
District Kullu
Technical Education Minister Ram Lal Markanda presided over the Jan Manch organized at Banjar AC of Kullu district. A total of 71 complaints were received in Jan Manch and most of which were resolved on the spot. Dr. Ram Lal Markanda said that Jan Manch is a powerful medium to get resolution of the problems of the people near to their home. Jan Manch depicts the resolve of the State Government and especially of the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur towards betterment of every section of the society.
District Solan
The 22nd Jan Manch of Solan district was organized today at Government Senior Secondary School Diggal in Arki assembly constituency, presided over by Minister of Rural Development, Panchayati Raj Virendra Kanwar. A total of 32 complaints and 97 demands were received in Jan Manch. Out of 32 complaints, 27 and out of 97 demands, 35 were settled on the spot. A booster dose was also administered to the eligible persons to protect them from Covid-19. Virendra Kanwar said the main objective of starting the Jan Manch was to ensure that those problems of the common people were resolved at door step which were pending due to some reason.
In Jan Manch, 77 various certificates and other documents were made and 101 Intkals were also done. 27 people were registered for Aadhar card. Paperwork completed in 10 cases of social security pensions. Zila Parishad President Ramesh Thakur, Arki MLA Sanjay Awasthi, former MLA Govind Ram Sharma and other dignitaries and senior officers of various departments were present in the Jan Manch.
District Kangra
Forest Minister Rakesh Pathania presided over the Jan Manch organized in Sukhar Panchayat of Nurpur assembly constituency of Kangra district. A total of 43 grivences related to various departments were received from 12 Panchayats identified in Jan Manch today, out of which 40 were resolved on the spot. The Forest Minister said that Jan Manch is an effective platform for redressal of grivences of citizens, this program of the State Government is proving to be helpful to the rural people especially. On this occasion, the Forest Minister distributed gas connections to 96 women under Mukhyamantri Grihini Suvidha Yojna. Apart from this, 6 differently-abled people were presented with wheelchairs and other equipment and FDR to 10 beneficiary girls of Beti Hai Anmol Yojna and 31 thousand checks each for marriage to five beneficiaries of Mukhya Mantri Shagun Yojna. Cheques worth Rs. 20 lakh were distributed to 23 beneficiaries under disaster relief fund and Chief Minister relief fund.
District Mandi
Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur presided over the 25th Jan Manch organized at Government Senior Secondary School Padhar in Drang assembly constituency of Mandi district. MLA Drang Jawahar Thakur was also present on the occasion. In Jan Manch, 119 complaints and demands related to various departments were resolved. In pre-Jan Manch 63 complaints were received, out of which 62 were disposed off on the spot. And 37 complaints were received on Jan Manch on Sunday and all of those were settled on the spot. 47 complaints and demands were received out of which 20 were disposed off on the spot and 27 were sent to the concerned departments for disposal. Education Minister said that Jan Manch has proved to be very effective in resolving grievances at doorstep. Through it, the state government has given a powerful platform to the general public to express their views. The poor people of rural and far flung areas were being ensured to redressal of their grievances at their doorstep in the presence of all district level officers.
District Chamba
Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Rajiv Saizal presided over the Jan Manch organized in the Gram Panchayat Sundla of Dalhousie AC of Chamba district. During Jan Manch 33 demands and 8 complaints related to various departments were presented. In addition, 70 grievances and demands were also presented during the pre-Jan Manch activities, most of which were resolved on the spot. Dr. Rajiv Saizal said that the State Government has fulfilled its commitment towards the speedy resolution of public grievances and public welfare through Jan Manch. FDR to 5 beneficiaries under Beti Hai Anmol Yojna and 5 baby kits were distributed under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. Eight gas connections were also distributed under the Mukya Mantri Grihini Suvidha Yojna. Health check-up of 68 people was done by the health department, while disability certificates to 13 people were also issued on the occasion. MLA Pawan Nayar, other public representatives and senior officials were also present on the occasion.
District Sirmour
Jan Manch was organized today at Jamta, Mela Ground, Navani, Gram Panchayat of Nahan AC of Sirmaur district, which was presided over by Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Rajinder Garg. MLA Nahan and former Speaker HP Vidhan Sabha Dr. Rajiv Bindal were also present on the occasion. A total of 22 complaints and 64 demands related to various departments were received in Jan Manch, most of which were settled on the spot. Rajinder Garg said that Jan Manch is an important initiative of the State Government and this has enabled people to get solutions to their problems near to their homes. On this occasion, the families of 8 girls were given blankets and a sapling under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. Apart from this, FDs were given to 5 girls under Beti Hai Anmol Yojna. During the Jan Manch, 105 certificates were issued. With the creation of 40 new Aadhar cards, 25 Aadhar cards were updated. Health check-up of 150 patients was done by the Ayurveda Department and more than 175 people in a multipurpose health camp organized by the Health Department.
District Lahaul-Spiti
On Sunday, the 25th Jan Manch was successfully organized under the chairmanship of Deputy Speaker HP Vidhan Sabha Dr. Hans Raj at Kaza of Tribal District Lahaul-Spiti. A total of 37 complaints were received in Jan Manch and all were settled on the spot. Addressing the Jan Manch, Dr. Hans Raj said that the State Government has started this innovative and ambitious programme for redressal of grievances near the doorstep of the people and it has yielded fruitful results.
District Kinnaur
11th Jan Manch of the district was organized today at Government Senior Secondary School, Kalpa in Kinnaur district, presided over by Chief Whip Bikram Singh Jaryal. A total of 59 complaints were received, out of which 30 complaints were resolved on the spot, while directions were given to various departments for speedy disposal of 29 complaints. Bikram Singh Jaryal said that this ambitious programme has been started with the objective of ensuring immediate solution to the problems of the people while saving their precious time and money.
He said that under the Tribal Area Development Program, Rs. 385 crore 56 lakh has been released for the all-round development of the district during the last four years, while a budget provision of Rs. 138 crore 22 lakh has been made for the year 2022-23, under which a provision of Rs. 9 crore 71 lakh has been made for agriculture and other allied services in the district. Vice-Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Forest Development Corporation Surat Negi and Zila Parishad President Nihal Charas were also present on the occasion.
