CBSE Hosts Storytelling Workshop at St. Thomas’

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organized a one-day workshop on “Storytelling as a Pedagogical Tool” at St. Thomas’ School, Shimla, on 23rd August 2025. The workshop aimed to promote innovative teaching techniques by integrating storytelling into classroom instruction to make learning more engaging and effective.

Renowned educationists Eesha More and Jagtamba Nadda led the workshop as keynote speakers and resource persons, guiding participants through the use of storytelling to enhance concept clarity and student involvement across subjects.

The programme began with the lighting of the lamp ceremony, followed by a welcome address by Principal Vidhupriya Chakravarty, who highlighted the importance of such initiatives in modern pedagogy. The resource persons were formally felicitated by the Vice-Principal of the school.

The workshop witnessed active participation from 59 teachers representing not only St. Thomas’ School but also several other schools from the surrounding region, making it a truly collaborative and enriching professional development experience.

At the conclusion of the event, Anshul Sharma, STNC of St. Thomas’ School, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the resource persons and all participating educators. Principal Vidhupriya Chakravarty also thanked everyone for their contribution and announced that CBSE will continue to organize Capacity Building Programmes (CBPs), core subject workshops, and in-house trainings to enhance the teaching-learning process.
