Sukhu Hands Out Financial Assistance in Mandi

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated multiple development projects and released financial assistance under various flagship schemes during the Jan Sankalp Sammelan held in Mandi today.

The Chief Minister dedicated the Community Relief Centre at Rahkhot Thunag and launched several digital governance initiatives, including the MyDeed Portal, the Naksha Scheme, the digitally signed Jamabandi module, and Bhunaksha 5.0. He also unveiled the new Gramin Bank logo and inaugurated the Basketball Girls’ Hostel at Rabindranath Tagore Government College, Sarkaghat.

As part of the welfare disbursements, Sukhu transferred ₹50.63 lakh directly into the bank accounts of 401 beneficiaries under the Rajiv Gandhi Prakritik Kheti Khushal Kisan Yojana. In addition, ₹51,12,27,00 in special relief assistance was provided to disaster-affected families across seven districts: Chamba, Hamirpur, Kangra, Lahaul-Spiti, Sirmaur, Solan, and Una.

Under the Rajiv Gandhi Swarozgar Start-up Scheme, 25 beneficiaries received symbolic keys to e-taxis, while 21 youths selected for overseas employment were handed air tickets and visas. Assistance was also extended under the Mukhyamantri Sukh-Ashray Yojana and Mukhyamantri Shagun Yojana.

The Chief Minister distributed ₹10.38 lakh to 10 beneficiaries from Kangra, Mandi, Hamirpur, and Una districts under the Mukhyamantri Carp Matsyapalan Yojana. Beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Madhu Mandav Vikas Yojana in Mandi received ₹1.76 lakh, along with additional support under the Himachal Pushp Kranti Yojana.

Five individuals from Kinnaur were issued certificates granting ownership rights over traditional forest land under the Forest Rights Act.

To promote digital learning, Sukhu distributed e-Re vouchers to meritorious students under the Srinivasa Ramanujan Students Digital Scheme. These vouchers will enable recipients to purchase laptops, tablets, or smartphones of their choice. A total of 8,450 Class 10 and 12 toppers and 900 final-year undergraduate students have benefited from the scheme so far.

Sukhu said that these initiatives reflect the government’s commitment to improving access to modern education, welfare support, and digital resources across Himachal Pradesh.
