January 13 is primarily celebrated in India as Lohri. It is a traditional winter and harvest festival, especially observed in states like Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Delhi. Lohri marks the end of winter and the beginning of longer days, celebrated with bonfires, songs, dances, and community gatherings.
According to the Hindu calendar, this day often coincides with Bhogi, a festival symbolizing the end of the old and the welcoming of the new agricultural season.
