Bulk Drug Park Works Reviewed at Una

On the directions of the Hon’ble Industries Minister, a detailed review meeting was held to assess the progress of the upcoming Bulk Drug Park (BDP) at Polian Beet, Haroli, District Una. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Yunus, Commissioner Industries cum CEO, HP Bulk Drug Park Infrastructure Limited (HPBDPIL), along with Tilak Raj Sharma, Additional Director Industries cum Additional CEO, HPBDPIL.

Senior officers from key departments including HPPWD, HPTCL, HPSEBL, Jal Shakti Vibhag, Forest Department, and HPSIDC presented updates on their respective components of the project, which involves works exceeding Rs 200 crore.

Regarding water supply, Naresh Dhiman, Superintending Engineer of Jal Shakti Vibhag, informed that the 15 MLD water supply system is approximately 95% complete. He assured that the remaining work will be completed and operational by end of March 2026.

On power supply, Rahul Puri, Executive Engineer of HPSEBL, stated that the upgradation of Gurpalah Sub-Station has been completed, and the required transmission infrastructure is currently under progress. The 10 MVA power supply for the Bulk Drug Park site is expected to be ready by April 2026.

For tree enumeration and felling, Sushil Rana, Divisional Forest Officer, reported that tree enumeration for four khasra numbers in Village Manuwal has been completed. Permissions for tree felling have been obtained, and the HPSIDC tender process has been initiated to carry out the work shortly.

Regarding the access road, the road from the Administrative Block at Panjuwana to the Bulk Drug Park site at Village Kuthar Beet will be executed by HPPWD, as decided in the previous High-Powered Committee meeting.

Dr. Yunus emphasized the timely completion of all infrastructure components to ensure the Bulk Drug Park becomes operational within the planned timeline. He directed all departments to expedite pending activities, enhance inter-departmental coordination, and adhere to quality and environmental standards.

The meeting concluded with all departments reaffirming their commitment to accelerate progress. HPBDPIL will continue to monitor developments through periodic reviews, aiming to make the Bulk Drug Park a flagship industrial project that strengthens pharmaceutical manufacturing and creates significant employment opportunities in the region.
