The Ministry of Ayush will celebrate World Homoeopathy Day 2026 on April 10 at Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi, with a two-day interactive forum bringing together policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and delegates to discuss the evolving role of homoeopathy in sustainable healthcare.
Themed “Homoeopathy for Sustainable Health,” this year’s event will highlight homoeopathy as a holistic, cost-effective, and eco-friendly approach aligned with global priorities such as Universal Health Coverage and UN Sustainable Development Goal 3 on Good Health and Well-being.
The inauguration will be led by Prataprao Jadhav, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush and Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, alongside Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, senior officials, and eminent experts.
Organised by the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), the forum will showcase key research, public health initiatives, and policy developments, focusing on scientific validation, ethical standards, and the integration of homoeopathy into mainstream healthcare. Special sessions will cover preventive and promotive care, lifestyle and chronic disease management, eco-friendly pharmaceutical practices, and biodiversity conservation.
Amid rising healthcare costs, chronic disease burdens, and concerns like antimicrobial resistance, the forum will underscore homoeopathy’s potential as a sustainable medical system with minimal ecological impact and a focus on stimulating the body’s natural healing mechanisms.
The event aims to reinforce India’s leadership in promoting traditional medicine, encourage collaboration among stakeholders, and advance a healthcare ecosystem that is effective, inclusive, and environmentally responsible.
