A review meeting of the Ropeway and Rapid Transport Development Corporation (RTDC) was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania to assess progress of the proposed Naddi Zipline Project.
Officials informed that the project was allotted on February 18, 2026, and a joint site inspection for finalising station locations was conducted on May 5, 2026, with participation from key departments including PWD, Jal Shakti, Electricity Board, Forest and Revenue. Revenue records have also been verified.
The meeting was apprised that NOCs from concerned departments are under process, while the non-availability of non-forest land certificate has been submitted to the Deputy Commissioner, Kangra. After completion of formalities, the proposal will be uploaded on the Parivesh Portal for forest clearance.
Pathania directed officials to expedite all pending approvals, including the NAC certificate and departmental NOCs, and asked the Forest Department to complete tree enumeration on priority to avoid delays.
He said the project will promote adventure tourism in Himachal Pradesh and generate employment opportunities for local youth.
